Perps on Testnet

Perpetual futures (perps) are live on the dreamDEX testnet for paper trading. A perp is a leveraged long or short on an asset's price with no expiry date. Funding payments between longs and shorts keep it tracking the asset instead.

Testnet perps run in the DreamDEX region of app.testnet.dreamdex.io. Everything here uses test funds: nothing you win or lose is real money.

Perps are on the testnet only. There are no perp markets on mainnet yet.

Get started

  1. Sign in at app.testnet.dreamdex.io. On testnet your wallets live in DreamDEX, the region the perp markets are in.
  2. Get paper USDso. Join Perps Arena, the paper-trading competition, to receive 1,000 paper USDso to trade with. See Paper USDso for what you can do with it.
  3. Move margin into Perps if you hold USDso in your spot wallet: open Perps ⇆ Spot on the perps page and move it from Spot wallet to Perps account. Perp orders only use margin that is already in the Perps account.
  4. Place an order. Pick a market, set your size and leverage, and choose a market or limit order. See Orders.

These figures are read from the live markets and can be retuned at any time. The open interest cap is market-wide, across every account, and is held in the base asset. A single account is capped at a tenth of it on most markets.

Leverage cuts both ways. Maintenance margin is half the initial margin, so a position opened at the full 20x is liquidated after a move of roughly 2.5% against it. This is a testnet for practice and testing, and nothing here is financial advice.
